Kent has more than 25 years of broad-based experience in financial and investment advisory services. Kent provides comprehensive, customized investment advisory and retirement plan consulting, as well as counseling clients on asset allocation, fiduciary issues and investment strategies.
Before becoming an independent consultant, Kent was a founder and partner in a regional financial planning and wealth management practice, based outside of Boston. The firm was established to provide services on fiduciary issues for those concerned about their responsibilities investing the assets of endowments and foundations, ERISA retirement plans, private family trusts, and public employee retirement plans, as well as high net worth individuals. Kent’s focus is on investment design, participant and committee education, investment policy statement, fiduciary governance, improving participant outcomes and investment monitoring, for the public and private corporate sector, as well as non-profit organizations.
During his career, Kent has lectured before numerous corporate and professional organizations on a variety of financial topics including estate planning, fiduciary education, and investment management, as well as pre and post-retirement planning, including Dalbar, RADA, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and National Financial Partners. Kent is a regular contributor and guest speaker at the Center for Due Diligence.
Kent has been included in The 401kWire's 300 Most Influential Advisors in Defined Contribution Plans. He is past president of the Retirement Advisors and Designers of America (RADA). He is an Advisor Council Member to Envestnet and a graduate from St. Anselm College with a BA in Financial Economics.
